01 / SERVICE TERMS
The agreement for your website.
Who these terms cover
These terms apply when you purchase website design, hosting, care, or related services from The Local Tech Co. ("LTC," "we," "us," or "our"). By completing checkout, you agree to these terms and confirm that you are authorized to make the purchase for the named business.
The $800 website build
The standard package includes one service-business website of up to five pages, mobile-friendly design, tailored copy based on the information you provide, one inquiry form, click-to-call links where applicable, basic search and analytics setup, and one consolidated revision round.
The package does not include online stores, custom booking systems, extra pages, custom software, ongoing SEO campaigns, paid advertising, brand identity work, professional photography, or work outside the written package unless we agree to additional scope and pricing.
Timeline and client responsibilities
The first-draft timeline begins after full payment and a complete intake, including the content, photos, approvals, and access reasonably needed to begin. The standard target is a first draft within three business days. Your response time, requested scope changes, third-party delays, and missing or unusable materials may extend delivery.
You agree to provide accurate information, one decision-maker, timely feedback, and materials you own or have permission to use. You are responsible for reviewing names, prices, claims, contact details, licenses, and other business information before launch.
Revisions and additional work
One revision round means one consolidated list of reasonable changes to the agreed website. A new design direction, additional pages, new functionality, repeated change requests, or work outside the package is additional scope and requires a separate written quote.
Approval, ownership, and third-party services
You approve the website before launch. After full payment, you may use the final delivered website content and design created specifically for your business. LTC retains its pre-existing tools, reusable methods, code components, and know-how. Third-party fonts, images, software, domains, hosting platforms, and services remain subject to their own licenses and terms.
You are responsible for ongoing domain, platform, and third-party fees unless they are expressly included in an active LTC hosting-and-care plan.
No guaranteed business results
A website can improve how customers understand and contact a business, but LTC does not guarantee traffic, search rankings, inquiries, revenue, profit, or any specific business result. Results also depend on your offer, reputation, marketing, market conditions, pricing, and follow-up.
02 / NO-REFUND POLICY
All sales are final.
Website-build payments and each hosting-and-care charge are non-refundable once charged. This includes change-of-mind requests, delays caused by missing client information or access, unused revision time, unused care-plan time, or a decision not to proceed after LTC has reserved capacity or begun work.
If you believe a charge was made in error, contact LTC promptly so it can be reviewed. Nothing in this policy limits a right or remedy that cannot legally be waived. If LTC cancels a project and does not provide the purchased service, LTC will return the applicable amount paid for the undelivered service.
03 / HOSTING & CARE
Optional monthly support.
If selected at checkout, hosting and care begins with a $50 charge and renews automatically at $50 each month until canceled. It includes managed hosting, a monthly form check, a simple analytics report, and up to 15 minutes of minor edits per billing month. Unused time does not roll over. New pages, redesigns, emergency work, and larger changes are priced separately.
You may cancel future renewals at any time using the cancellation method provided with your subscription or by contacting LTC. Cancellation applies to future billing; the current billing period is not prorated or refunded. Before managed hosting ends, you are responsible for arranging a handover to your own compatible paid platform. If no handover is arranged, the website may become unavailable after the paid hosting period ends. Domain renewal is separate.
04 / DEFECT CORRECTIONS & LIABILITY
What happens after launch.
The standard build includes 14 days of corrections for defects that cause the delivered website to function differently from the approved version. New requests, third-party changes, client edits, expired services, and issues caused by information or access outside LTC's control are not defects.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LTC is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost business opportunities. LTC's total liability arising from a purchased service will not exceed the amount you paid LTC for that service. These limits do not apply where the law does not permit them.
05 / PRIVACY POLICY
How project information is handled.
Information we collect
We may collect your name, business name, email address, optional phone number, website address, service area, marketing information, project goals, files or links you provide, scheduling preferences, campaign-source information, and communications about your project. Stripe processes payment-card information; LTC does not store full card numbers on this website.
How we use it
We use the information to verify purchases, plan and deliver services, communicate with you, provide support, maintain records, prevent misuse, understand how customers find LTC, and improve our website and operations.
Service providers
Information may be processed by providers that help LTC operate, including website hosting and storage, Stripe for payment processing, Notion for project records, email-delivery providers, scheduling tools, and analytics providers. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or security, or in connection with a business transfer.
Retention and choices
We retain project and transaction records for as long as reasonably needed to provide services, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You may ask to review, correct, or delete information, subject to records we must retain. Do not submit passwords, private customer records, or sensitive personal information through the intake form.
Security and policy changes
We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. We may update these terms and will post the revised effective date here. Changes do not retroactively alter an already purchased project's agreed price or included scope.
06 / GENERAL TERMS
The practical details.
These terms, the checkout description, and any written scope accepted by both parties form the agreement for the service. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A failure to enforce a provision once is not a waiver of it.
Maryland law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where another law must apply. Before beginning formal proceedings, both sides agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the issue directly.
Questions about these terms or privacy may be sent using the reply address in your LTC order or project communications.
